Since the beginning Karen Quinones has been immersed into the world of fashion, style, and taste.  Growing up in a household with a couture bridal-gown designer as a grandmother and a shoe boutique owner as a father was bound to have an astounding affect on her.

Destined to make her own mark on the fashion industry, Karen began her illustrious career at the young age of fourteen in retail.  Thereafter, she briefly attended Gordon College where she studied Psychology.  However, it was not long before she returned to her true love of fashion.

In 1993, Karen launched her own retail venture, En Avance, in the world famous Miami Beach, Florida.  En Avance, which means moving forward, would become a motto by which Karen would live by.  Keeping two steps ahead of everyone else enabled Karen to change the retail landscape of Lincoln Road and push fashion forward in the Miami, South Beach area.

Initially, offering European designers, Karen soon traveled the world hand selecting only the highest quality and best designers to present to her clients.  En Avance is now a "Global Showcase" that offers a full range of product for women and men; including clothes, accessories, beauty, jewelry and home/gift.

After a very successful 15 year run on Lincoln road, Karen Quinones still keeps true to her motto, "En Avance," and continues to evolve.  Most recently, Karen recognized a changing demographic in South Beach and responded.  In the summer of 2008, Karen became a pioneer and relocated En Avance to what is now the chicest new area of Miami, the Design District.  However, Karen has no intentions of stopping there.  As she looks into the future, Karen plans to continue to remain two steps ahead of the pack.
